Floor thresholds between rooms should be as low as possible and slope at the edges to prevent tripping. The maximum safe height of a threshold is ½” in commercial establishments, but lower is even better. When possible, it should be made of non-slip materials.
As you pass from room to room, be extra careful when crossing the threshold!
