Omeprazole (for acid reflux) is a common cause of vertigo and loss of balance in older adults

Many people take omeprazole for acid reflux. Two potential side effects, vertigo and

loss of balance, are not commonly known, and can cause falls. If you experience

vertigo after taking omeprazole or any other drug, contact your healthcare provider.
