Proper Footwear Can Reduce Fall Risk

The type of footwear you wear in the house can affect your risk of falling. People who walk barefoot, wear socks without shoes, or slippers fall most often. People who wear high heels are also more likely to fall. The safest shoes to protect you from falling are well-fitting, low-heeled shoes with slip-resistant soles.
