Strengthening muscles in the calf are critical to reduce falls


As we age, muscle weakness is a risk factor for falling, however, most exercises focus

on the quadricep. What is less known is that strengthening the calf muscles above

your heel (soleus and gastrocnemius muscles) are particularly important.
